Product introduction
P235GH is a European specified steel for use in pressure vessels, boilers and heat exchangers. The composition of this steel makes
it ideal for applications where elevated working temperatures are the norm and the material is used by fabricators throughout the oil, gas
and petrochemical industry.
P235GH is a normalized carbon alloy steel and is available ex-stock from our warehouse with mill certification and stamping. This EN10028
steel grade supersedes the older BS and DIN standards (Grades BS 1501-161-360A and DIN H 1, respectively).
Material P235GH is non-alloy steel with specified high temperature properties, good plasticity, toughness, cold bending and welding properties,
specified in German and European standards DIN EN10216 and DIN EN 10028. EN 10216 Part 2 P235GH seamless tube is mainly for pressure
purposesuch as the manufacturing of boilers and heat exchangers, steam tubes and pressure vessels.
P235GH is a normalized carbon low alloy steel. “P” means “weldable”, “G” means “softened annealed” and “H” means “hardened”. The main materials
of EN10216-2 including: P235GH, P265GH, 16Mo3, 10CrMo55, 13CrMo45, 10CrMo910, 25CrMo4 and so on. P235GH’s chemical composition makes
it ideal for high-temperature applications, and the material is used by manufacturers in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
